Every platform is scored against the same eight fields, pulled from hands-on editorial reviews on FreeCam Chatter: free tier, signup requirement, gender filter, country filter, mobile app, video support, age requirement, and payment model. These aren’t self-reported by the platforms, they come from someone actually using the site, checking what’s free, what requires an account, and where the paywalls sit.
Safety Tiers
Alongside the eight dimensions, every platform carries a safety tier from A to D. The rubric behind it weighs moderation system quality, account accountability, match verification, and age policy. Tier A platforms combine strong moderation with some form of verification. Tier B platforms are typically free or freemium with real moderation infrastructure behind them. How Smart Match Scoring Works

Each of the 60 platforms is scored against those weights, and the top three results are shown with an actual computed percentage, not a curated pick. No platform pays for a better score or a higher position, in the grid or in Smart Match results. The scoring is mechanical: your answers set the weights, the data does the rest.
